The refined manufacturing process of UHPC exterior wall decorative lines is a technical chain that integrates “digital design, high-precision mold making, precise batching and mixing, diversified forming, strict curing, and fine post-processing.” Drawing on 28 years of experience, Qinglong Group has refined the workflow into eight core steps: scheme design and BIM development, mold design and CNC machining, precise metering of raw materials and efficient mixing, slurry casting/spraying and fiber distribution control, accelerated curing with temperature and humidity management, safe demolding and edge treatment, surface texture design and artistic finishing, and final inspection and standardized packaging. In the UHPC faux-wood light-transmitting line project at Century Plaza, Shanghai New World, on Nanjing East Road, it was precisely this rigorous process that achieved panels up to 12m² in size, with remarkably realistic wood-grain textures and tens of thousands of embedded light-guide rods.
The process begins with in-depth optimization of the BIM model, including structural form-finding, embedded part positioning, and process hole design. A five-axis CNC machine tool is then used to convert the digital model into high-precision resin molds or steel molds, ensuring shapes and dimensions are exact to the finest detail. The surface finish of the mold directly determines the texture of the finished product.
A fully automatic mixing system performs millisecond-level precise metering of cement, silica fume, fibers, admixtures, and water. Depending on the complexity of the lines, either the flowing slurry method (suitable for standard lines) or robotic spraying (suitable for complex hyperbolic lines) is selected to ensure dense slurry and uniform three-dimensional random fiber distribution.
Immediately after forming, the pieces enter an intelligent curing kiln, where steam curing follows an optimized heating–constant temperature–cooling curve to activate the material's properties and control shrinkage. After demolding, processes such as wet grinding, sandblasting, acid washing, and coloring achieve a full range of preset decorative effects, from fair-faced concrete texture to marble, wood, and metal finishes.
This mature process system ensures that Qinglong UHPC decorative lines combine outstanding physical performance with exquisite artistic expression, making them an ideal choice for high-end building facades.
