Measuring the durability of exterior wall GRC systems requires a multi-dimensional quantitative indicator system covering "intrinsic material performance, long-term environmental resistance, system construction reliability, and actual project verification," rather than a vague promise of a single service life figure. Based on 28 years of R&D and production plus long-term tracking of hundreds of completed projects, Qinglong Group has summarized the core durability indicators as: material-level water absorption (≤8%), carbonation resistance (annual carbonation depth ≤0.1mm), chloride ion diffusion coefficient (≤3.0×10⁻¹² m²/s), and frost resistance grade (≥F100); system-level weatherproof sealant movement capability (≥±25%) and connector corrosion resistance grade (e.g., 316 stainless steel); as well as the proven years of intact service of completed projects in similar environments. At the seafront roof of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, core samples taken on site after 10 years showed a carbonation depth of 0.8mm and a strength retention rate of 95%, proving its ultra-long durability with data. Data is the most objective language of durability.
Low water absorption means the material is dense, making it difficult for harmful media to penetrate; excellent carbonation resistance keeps the internal alkaline environment stable, protecting the glass fibers; an extremely low chloride ion diffusion coefficient is key to preventing steel reinforcement corrosion in coastal areas; and a high frost resistance grade is the passport for severely cold regions. Qinglong Group tests every batch of products against these indicators and records the results in a database, enabling long-term performance traceability.
In the laboratory, materials undergo accelerated aging through QUV ultraviolet aging tests (simulating sunlight), salt spray tests (simulating marine environments), and freeze-thaw cycle tests to evaluate their performance degradation patterns. For example, after 3,000 hours of QUV testing, our GRC showed a color difference ΔE change of ≤3.0 with no surface chalking, from which its outdoor weathering service life can be inferred.
No matter how good the material is, defects in system construction will shorten its life. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the drainage construction, the rationality of joint design, the anti-corrosion performance of connectors, and the ability to accommodate thermal deformation. Qinglong Group's system solutions have been verified through multiple simulations including wind tunnel, seismic, and thermal tests.
Ask suppliers to provide project cases completed 5, 10 or more years ago in similar environments (such as coastal areas, acid rain zones, or severely cold regions), and conduct site visits or obtain post-evaluation reports. Qinglong Group's "project full life-cycle archives" provide customers with traceable and verifiable proof of durability.
Therefore, evaluating the durability of a GRC system requires cross-validation across four dimensions: laboratory data, accelerated testing, system design, and project evidence. With a transparent, scientific approach, Qinglong Group presents customers with products that stand the test of time.
