The installation method for GRC components must be managed through weight-based classification. Qinglong Group divides components into three categories—“light (≤50kg), medium (50-200kg), and heavy (≥200kg)”—corresponding to differentiated installation processes of “manual handling, mechanical hoisting, and specialized plans.” In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC project, we customized plans for components of different weights: decorative lines under 20kg were installed manually with vacuum suction cups; 50-150kg standard panels used small winches with balance beams; oversized panels above 200kg (6×2.5m) used truck cranes with dedicated lifting frames. Weight-based classification management ensured both safety (zero serious injury accidents) and efficiency (daily installation volume of up to 300㎡). Scientific hoisting is the art of balancing safety and efficiency.
Components ≤50kg can be installed by 2 workers in coordination, using portable vacuum suction cups (suction force ≥2kN) for handling. Mobile scaffolding is used for installation positions ≤3m, and scissor-type aerial work platforms for positions >3m. Workers are required to wear full-body safety harnesses, and throwing or catching components is strictly prohibited.
Components of 50-200kg use electric hoists (lifting capacity ≥500kg) or small truck cranes (8-16 tons). Lifting points must be calculated to ensure a stable center of gravity. Fiber slings (width ≥80mm) are used to protect panel edges, with the angle between slings and the panel surface ≥45°. Dedicated signal workers direct operations on site.
Components ≥200kg require a specialized hoisting plan, implemented after expert review. Large truck cranes (over 25 tons) are used, with dedicated lifting frames designed to distribute loads. A trial lift is performed before hoisting, holding the component 200mm above ground for 5 minutes for inspection. In the 12-meter-long panel hoisting for the Shenzhen Yirui project, we adopted a 4-point lifting method and achieved precise positioning.
Irregular components have their center of gravity calculated with custom balance devices; thin panels (thickness <15mm) are fitted with reinforcing stiffeners to prevent deformation; super-high components (installation height >30m) use tower cranes combined with construction hoists. Our hoisting plans are verified through BIM simulation.
Weight-based classification management is a scientific approach to installation safety. Through standardized operations and strict supervision, Qinglong Group ensures that every component is positioned safely and precisely.
