The curvature radius limit of UHPC single-curved panels is constrained by three factors: material performance, mold technology, and structural safety, with the industry-leading level reaching R=300mm (at a panel thickness of 20mm). In the "Red Lantern" project of the Wuhan Hanxiu Theater, Qinglong Group successfully achieved mass production of R=350mm single-curved panels through five-axis CNC precision molds (surface error ≤0.2mm), fiber orientation distribution technology, and steam curing deformation control, with panel surface flatness ≤2mm/2m. Small curvature radius panels require focused control of stress concentration and fiber orientation to ensure that mechanical performance is not compromised.

Material Performance Is the Foundation of Curvature

UHPC has an ultimate tensile strain ≥0.3%, allowing large bending deformation. By adding PVA fibers (toughness improved by 50%), we achieve small-radius bending. However, excessively small curvature easily causes fracture of the outer fibers, requiring a balance between artistry and structure.

Mold Technology Ensures Shaping Precision

The molds use wood-substitute material (shrinkage ≤0.1%) with CNC machining precision of ±0.1mm. Qinglong Group verifies through reverse engineering scanning to ensure accurate shaping. Precision molds are the prerequisite for success.

Structural Design Ensures Safety

Small curvature panels are thickened to 25-30mm, with stiffening ribs set at the edges. Finite element analysis verifies the stress distribution, with a safety factor ≥2.5. Scientific design achieves both artistry and safety.
