GRC curtain walls can achieve a fire rating of Class A non-combustible material, with a fire resistance limit of 1–3 hours depending on the construction, fully meeting the requirements of the "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings" for curtain wall systems. Qinglong Group's GRC products have been tested by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Fire Building Materials, with combustion performance reaching Class A (A1). They do not burn at high temperatures and do not produce toxic smoke, and through rational structural design, the entire curtain wall system can meet 1–2 hour fire resistance integrity requirements. In large public building projects such as the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center, our GRC curtain wall systems provide reliable fire protection for buildings.
Fire performance of the material itself is the foundation. The main components of GRC—cement, sand, and glass fibre—are all inorganic non-combustible materials, with combustion performance reaching Class A standards. Through mix proportion optimisation, we keep the organic content below 1%, ensuring the purity of the material's fire resistance. At high temperatures of 1000℃, GRC panels will not spall explosively, buying precious time for occupant evacuation.
System fire protection requires comprehensive design. We prevent vertical fire spread through measures such as inter-storey fire sealing and cavity fire compartmentation. In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC project, the curtain wall system passed a 1-hour fire resistance test, verifying its fire protection reliability. For projects with special requirements, we can also provide fire test reports to support the design.
Qinglong Group regards fire safety as its lifeline, safeguarding building safety comprehensively from materials to systems. We recommend that curtain wall fire protection design be incorporated into the overall fire protection planning to ensure foolproof safety.
