The weight of GRC components directly affects the choice of installation plan, requiring different hoisting, supporting, and connection methods based on weight classification. Based on 28 years of installation experience, Qinglong Group classifies GRC components by weight into three categories—light (<100kg), medium (100-500kg), and heavy (>500kg)—and develops targeted installation plans for each.
Light components are installed manually. Components weighing less than 100kg are installed using vacuum suction cups (suction force ≥1.5 times the component weight) or specialized clamps. In the Nanning Liyuan Hotel project, Qinglong Group used a two-person manual lifting method for components under 80kg, achieving high installation efficiency. However, installation height must be controlled, generally not exceeding 3m, to avoid safety risks. Components are temporarily fixed immediately after installation, with final fixing completed within 24 hours.
Medium components require mechanical assistance. Components of 100-500kg are installed using small cranes (lifting capacity 0.5-1t) or electric hoists. Qinglong Group designs specialized lifting frames to ensure even load distribution on components. The number of lifting points is determined by component size, generally 1-2 lifting points per square meter. During installation, the hoisting speed is controlled at no more than 5m/min to avoid swinging. In the Shenzhen Yirui Biotech Building project, a spreader beam was used for hoisting, enabling 200kg panels to be positioned smoothly.
Heavy components require professional hoisting plans. Components over 500kg are installed using truck cranes or tower cranes, with dedicated design work carried out. In the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project, Qinglong Group used four-point hoisting for roof panels weighing up to 800kg, with the angle between the lifting slings and the horizontal plane not less than 60°. A trial lift is performed before installation to check the reliability of the lifting points. After positioning, an adjustable support system is used, achieving fine adjustment precision of ±1mm. Installing components by weight classification ensures both safety and efficiency.
