GRC installation must follow a standardized process, generally divided into six stages: preparation work, measurement and layout, substrate treatment, panel installation, joint treatment, and cleaning and acceptance. Each stage has strict technical requirements.

In the Shanghai Century Plaza renovation project, the Qinglong installation team strictly followed the standardized process: first, an on-site survey was conducted using a 3D scanner to obtain substrate data; then a BIM model was used to simulate the installation and optimize the installation sequence; during installation, the sequence proceeded from bottom to top and from the center outward to both sides, completing a fixed area each day; joints were treated with a dedicated sealant applied in two passes; finally, comprehensive testing and acceptance were carried out. This standardized operation ensured the project was completed to a high quality.

Pre-Installation Preparation Stage

Verify drawings against on-site dimensions; adjustments are required if errors exceed the allowable limits. Check panel numbering, quantity, and quality, and replace damaged panels. Prepare construction tools and check safety devices. Clarify key points through technical disclosure.

Measurement and Layout

Set installation datum lines with a precision of ±1mm. Snap panel grid lines, clear and accurate. Recheck substrate dimensions and record deviation data. Layout lines must be rechecked and confirmed.

Substrate Treatment Requirements

Substrate strength must meet standards, with no hollowing or cracking. Flatness deviation ≤4mm/2m. The waterproofing layer must be intact, with no leakage. Embedded parts must be accurately positioned, secure and reliable.

Panel Installation Process

Install panels in numbered order to prevent mix-ups. Fix hangers firmly and adjust them into position. Keep panel joints even and consistent in width. Inspect and correct promptly to ensure quality.
