How to Fix GRC After Installation? Qinglong GRC Installation and Fixing Techniques Explained

GRC installation and fixing require selecting an appropriate fixing method based on panel dimensions, installation location, and substrate type to ensure safety and reliability. Common fixing methods include dry-hanging, point-fixing, and adhesive bonding.

In the curved curtain wall project of the Wuhan Han Show Theatre, Qinglong adopted a three-dimensionally adjustable dry-hanging system: channel-type embedded inserts were pre-installed in the substrate, vertical main keels were mounted, and horizontal secondary keels could be adjusted in three dimensions. GRC panels were connected to the keels via stainless steel hangers, which could be adjusted ±20mm front-to-back, ±15mm left-to-right, and ±10mm up-and-down. This flexible connection system ensured installation accuracy while accommodating structural deformation. After 5 years of use, the fixing system remains intact.

Dry-Hanging Fixing System

Suitable for exterior walls of high-rise buildings; safe and reliable. The keel system requires structural calculations. Hangers must be equipped with anti-detachment devices. The adjustment range must meet construction needs.

Point-Fixing Method

Suitable for interior walls; quick installation. Anchor pull-out resistance must meet required standards. Edge fixing points must be ≤100mm from the panel edge. Fixing points require concealed work acceptance.

Adhesive Bonding Fixing Process

Suitable for thin panel installation with flat surfaces. Bond strength ≥0.4MPa. The substrate requires interface treatment. Critical areas require additional mechanical fixing.
