The production of UHPC exterior wall decorative lines is a technology that integrates materials science with precision manufacturing. Its standard process consists of six key steps: "mold design and fabrication, material preparation and casting, curing and hardening, demolding and repair, surface treatment, and inspection and packaging." Through UHPC line production for projects such as the Century Plaza on Nanjing East Road at Shanghai New World and the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building, Qinglong Group has developed a mature and highly refined operational system.
The first step is the design and fabrication of high-precision molds. The mold is the cornerstone for ensuring the precise shaping of lines. Based on detailed shop drawings, Qinglong conducts manufacturability analysis on complex lines to determine the parting lines. A five-axis CNC machine is then used to directly carve the line cavities from steel or high-density tooling board, ensuring dimensional accuracy of ±0.5mm and a high surface finish. For lines requiring special textures (such as faux stone or faux wood), the mold surface undergoes corresponding etching or treatment.
The second step is the precise preparation and casting/spraying of UHPC materials. Based on the thickness, complexity, and performance requirements of the lines, the Qinglong laboratory determines an optimized UHPC mix ratio. On the production line, a fully automated batching system weighs the ingredients precisely, which are then mixed into a uniform mixture by a high-efficiency mixer. For conventional lines, flow casting is used to pour the mixture into the mold, supplemented by high-frequency vibration to ensure compaction and eliminate air bubbles. For ultra-thin, irregularly shaped, or embossed complex lines, a spray-up molding process may be adopted to ensure uniform fiber distribution within the small cross-sections.
The subsequent steps are critical to quality formation. The third step is standard curing: the filled molds are sent into a curing kiln, where a set steam curing curve of temperature rise, constant temperature holding, and cooling is executed; demolding strength is typically reached after just over ten hours. The fourth step is careful demolding and repair: specialized tools are used for careful demolding, and tiny air pores or edge damage on non-load-bearing surfaces are repaired invisibly with repair mortar of the same mix ratio. The fifth step is surface treatment: according to design requirements, processes such as grinding, sandblasting, and acid pickling are performed, or coatings such as faux stone paint and fluorocarbon paint are applied. The final step is strict inspection and customized packaging: dimensions, strength, and appearance are inspected, and once approved, the products are packaged with custom foam corner protectors and frames to prevent transport damage. The meticulous control at every step together creates the outstanding artistic expressiveness and durability of UHPC decorative lines.
