Differences in production processes among GRC manufacturers are mainly reflected in five aspects: "mixing method, forming method, curing regime, fiber distribution technology, and degree of automation." These differences ultimately result in product gaps in "strength, durability, appearance precision, and production efficiency." Qinglong Group's production process system targets "high uniformity, high density, and high automation," adopting a fully controllable full-process system of "planetary forced mixing + robotic spraying/vacuum casting + intelligent steam curing." Many small and medium-sized manufacturers, however, still use the traditional model of "horizontal mixing + manual mesh laying/simple spraying + natural curing." In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC project, the GRC curtain wall panels we produced achieved a flatness tolerance of ≤2mm/2m, while manufacturers using traditional processes often struggle to keep the tolerance within 5mm/2m. Process capability is the dividing line of quality.
We use planetary mixers imported from Germany, whose multi-directional shear forces ensure that ultra-fine powders (silica fume) and fibers are evenly dispersed in a short time without clumping. The mixing process is fully enclosed to prevent moisture evaporation. Ordinary horizontal mixers, by contrast, tend to cause fiber clumping and material segregation, compromising performance uniformity.
We mainly employ two advanced forming processes: 1) For flat panels and standard components, we use "slurry flow method + high-frequency vibration + vacuum dewatering" to remove excess water and air bubbles, achieving extremely high density; 2) For double-curved and irregularly shaped pieces, we use the "robotic wet-spray method," spraying fibers and slurry together so they perfectly conform to complex molds. Traditional manual mesh laying or dry spraying yields low density and is prone to interlayer defects.
We adopt a "standard moist curing + steam curing" regime. Components are cured in an environment of 20±2°C and ≥95% humidity, then enter programmable steam curing chambers (80°C × 12h), promoting rapid strength development and reducing shrinkage. Natural curing or simple insulated curing leads to slow, unstable strength development and a tendency to crack.
Robotic spraying achieves a uniform three-dimensional random distribution of fibers. By programming the spray gun's travel path and output volume, we ensure consistent fiber content at every point. With manual mesh laying or spraying, fiber distribution is random, leaving weak zones and resulting in poor product toughness.
Therefore, differences in production processes are not simply "different methods" but a "generational gap." Through continuous process innovation, Qinglong Group ensures that its product performance always stays ahead.
