UHPC's durability is its core value as a high-performance building material, encompassing multidimensional performance such as carbonation resistance, freeze-thaw resistance, chloride ion penetration resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, with a design life of 50-100 years, far exceeding ordinary concrete. Qinglong Group has confirmed, based on accelerated aging tests and long-term exposure station data, that under standard curing, UHPC achieves a carbonation depth of ≤0.1mm/year, a frost resistance rating of ≥F300, and a chloride ion diffusion coefficient of ≤2.0×10⁻¹² m²/s. In the harsh environment of Hainan's high temperature, high humidity, and high salt fog, the UHPC roof we supplied for the International Convention and Exhibition Centre showed a carbonation depth of only 0.8mm after ten years of use, with a strength retention rate exceeding 95%, truly worthy of the title "permanent material". Durability is UHPC's promise to time.
Through an extremely low water-binder ratio and the micro-filling effect of ultra-fine admixtures (such as silica fume), UHPC forms a dense system with porosity below 5%, making it extremely difficult for harmful media (such as CO₂, Cl⁻, and H₂O) to penetrate. The water absorption of Qinglong UHPC is controlled below 6%, fundamentally cutting off the channels of corrosion. This inherently superior density is the physical basis of its ultra-long service life.
In severely cold regions, freeze-thaw cycles are the "killer" of concrete. After 300 rapid freeze-thaw cycles, Qinglong UHPC shows a mass loss rate of <1% and a relative dynamic elastic modulus retention rate of >90%, far exceeding the F100 standard requirements. In coastal areas, its resistance to chloride ion penetration is extremely strong, effectively protecting internal steel reinforcement or fibers from rusting. The UHPC components we supplied for a sea-crossing bridge in Qingdao have remained intact after ten years of erosion by sea winds.
For acid rain zones or industrial environments, UHPC's acid corrosion resistance is significantly superior to ordinary concrete. A fluorocarbon topcoat can be applied to the surface to further enhance weather resistance. Its high hardness (Mohs hardness ≥6) also gives it excellent wear resistance, making it suitable for wear-prone areas such as floors and bridge decks. In the floor of a logistics center in Nanning, UHPC showed a wear depth of only 0.5mm after five years of use.
Choosing UHPC means choosing quality assurance that spans a century. With scientific data and the validation of time, Qinglong Group keeps buildings enduring and ever new.
