The production of high-strength GRC panels (typically referring to flexural strength ≥18MPa and compressive strength ≥60MPa) is a culmination of materials science, process technology, and quality control. Its core process critical points lie in "achieving high densification through a low water-binder ratio, ensuring workability with high-efficiency water reducers, premium fibers with uniform distribution, and precise curing regimes to activate strength." Through 28 years of technical accumulation, Qinglong Group has formed its own unique high-strength GRC production system: using polycarboxylate high-performance water reducers to control the water-binder ratio at 0.30-0.35; selecting high-zirconia alkali-resistant glass fibers (ZrO₂ content ≥16%) and using robotic spraying to ensure a fiber volume content of 4-5% with uniform three-dimensional random distribution; implementing a strict steam curing regime (80°C×24h). Under this process, the flexural strength of our GRC panels is stably maintained at 20-25MPa, providing performance guarantees for large curtain walls and integrated structural-decorative applications. High strength is the inevitable result of precise control.
Reducing the water-binder ratio is the most effective way to improve GRC strength and durability. However, a low water-binder ratio leads to poor slurry flowability. Therefore, it is necessary to rely on high-efficiency water reducers (water reduction rate ≥25%) to provide good workability even at low water content, enabling the slurry to fully coat the fibers and fill the molds. Qinglong Group tests the compatibility of every batch of water reducer with cement to ensure optimal results.
High-strength GRC must use highly alkali-resistant glass fibers to ensure long-term strength retention. Fiber length (typically 12-25mm) and aspect ratio need to be optimized to balance the toughening effect against dispersion difficulty. Most critical is the uniform distribution of fibers, avoiding clumping or preferential orientation. We use planetary mixing and robotic spraying to ensure fibers are uniformly dispersed in three-dimensional space, forming an effective load transfer network.
The mixing process affects fiber dispersion and slurry homogeneity. We adopt a step-by-step feeding method of "dry mixing - adding liquid - adding fibers" and control the mixing speed and time. During spray forming, spraying pressure, angle, and movement speed are controlled to ensure the slurry is dense and free of defects. Vacuum dewatering can further reduce the water-binder ratio and improve densification.
Curing concerns not only early strength but also long-term performance. Standard curing (20°C, RH>95%) requires a long cycle. Steam curing can greatly accelerate strength development, but requires precise control of the heating rate (≤15°C/h), the constant temperature (usually 70-80°C) and its duration, and the cooling rate, to avoid thermal stress cracking. Qinglong Group's intelligent curing kilns can precisely execute preset curves.
The production of high-strength GRC is an interlocking systems engineering endeavor. Through refined whole-process control, Qinglong Group ensures that every high-strength panel delivers outstanding performance.
