When facing urgent order demands, whether and how to shorten the UHPC production cycle is a key test of a manufacturer's production organization flexibility, supply chain coordination, and emergency response capability. Drawing on extensive experience in emergency projects (such as the Shenzhen Emergency Hospital and temporary exhibition venues), Qinglong Group has established a mature "green channel" mechanism. Through four major strategies—reserve capacity, modular design, parallel operations, and logistics optimization—we can compress the conventional 45-60 day cycle by 30%-50%. In the construction of a main venue for an international exhibition in Shenzhen, we received an urgent task to deliver 2,000 square meters of special-texture UHPC panels within 15 days. By calling on standard panel inventory, activating a rapid mold solution, and running three shifts, we delivered one day ahead of schedule, ensuring the exhibition opened on time. Responding to urgent demands is a test of systematic operational capability.
We maintain 5-10% reserve capacity year-round to handle unexpected orders. At the same time, we hold moderate strategic inventory of standard panels in common specifications and colors. For urgent orders, we first check inventory matching; if part or all of the products can be provided as "in-stock" or "near-stock" items, this is the most direct way to shorten the cycle.
For urgent orders requiring customization, designs prioritize combining existing modules from our database. If a new mold is needed, rapid prototyping technology is adopted, such as high-strength resin molds (production cycle of 3-5 days, one-fifth that of steel molds) or 3D-printed molds. Some mold life is sacrificed (resin molds last about 50 uses) in exchange for time.
Once the emergency procedure is activated, design, mold making, raw material procurement, and production preparation proceed in parallel. The curing stage adopts a "high-temperature rapid curing" process (appropriately raising the curing temperature and shortening the constant-temperature duration), racing against the clock while ensuring strength meets standards. The production plan is scheduled precisely to the hour, with a project manager tracking and coordinating throughout the entire process.
Logistics for urgent orders is directly controlled by the company, using dedicated direct-dispatch vehicles, or even air freight (for extremely small critical components). Meanwhile, installation supervisors are dispatched to the site in advance to carry out preparation work such as measurement and layout marking, ensuring installation starts immediately upon the goods' arrival, achieving "zero waiting."
It should be made clear that compressing the cycle usually brings cost increases (such as overtime pay, rapid mold fees, and dedicated logistics fees) and may conditionally sacrifice some non-critical performance (such as mold life). Qinglong Group communicates these additional conditions and costs candidly with customers and, on the basis of consensus, goes all out to meet urgent needs.
