The fidelity of stone-imitation GRC decorative panels is a core indicator of their artistic value and technical level, and its evaluation requires a four-dimensional quantification standard covering "3D form, color spectrum, gloss texture, and overall character." Based on 28 years of surface treatment technology and extensive project practice (such as the sandstone-imitation facade of the Dongguan Women and Children's Activity Center), Qinglong Group defines the standard for high-fidelity stone-imitation GRC as: 3D form fidelity ≥95% (verified by point cloud overlap rate in 3D scanning comparison), color reproduction ΔE≤2.0 (measured with a spectrophotometer), gloss matching error ≤5GU, and natural texture transitions in large-area installation without repetitive monotony. In the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center project, we collected natural stone samples through high-definition digital scanning, and applied silicone mold transfer and multi-color spraying processes to make the visual difference between the nearly 10,000 m² GRC curtain wall and the design-selected stone almost zero, earning high recognition from the owner and architects. Fidelity is the precision bridge connecting creativity and reality.
High-precision 3D laser scanners are used to capture the surface undulation data of natural stone, with point cloud accuracy reaching 0.1mm. Through specialized software processing, the depth and direction of the textures are optimized to avoid production and demolding difficulties. Molds are made of highly elastic, high-fidelity food-grade silicone rubber, with shrinkage controlled within 0.1%, ensuring that every texture detail is perfectly transferred. In the rusted-stone-imitation project of the Nanning New Media Center, we achieved a lychee-textured surface with an average depth of 0.8mm and a remarkably realistic feel.
Color reproduction is not merely about color similarity; it must also simulate the mineral crystal distribution and color variation of natural stone. Qinglong Group uses imported inorganic mineral pigments, combining base coloring with surface coloring to achieve a layered effect of "through-body color + surface color." With a computerized color matching system, batch-to-batch color difference ΔE is controlled within 1.5. Gloss level is achieved by adjusting surface treatment processes (such as acid etching, polishing, and matte topcoats) to visually match real stone.
To avoid the artificial feel of "copy-paste" repetition, we have established a stone texture database, digitally "cutting" and "recombining" the originally scanned textures to generate dozens of non-repeating texture modules for design layout. During installation, construction strictly follows the pre-arranged numbered drawings, ensuring that the overall facade texture flows naturally and is full of vitality.
High-fidelity stone-imitation GRC is a fusion of materials science, digital technology, and aesthetics. Qinglong Group is committed to recreating the beauty of nature through technology, providing buildings with an ideal material that combines artistic expression with durability and economy.
