Force flow distribution analysis of double-curved GRC shapes requires a combined approach of "finite element simulation, model testing, and on-site monitoring," focusing on stress concentration zones and deformation characteristics. In the wave roof project of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, Qinglong Group conducted fluid-structure interaction analysis using ANSYS software and found that the stress concentration factor at panel connections reached 3.5. By optimizing the hanging point arrangement and adding stiffening ribs, the stress was reduced to below 1.8, ensuring structural safety in typhoon regions. Force flow analysis is the scientific verification of a shape's rationality.
The accuracy of finite element modeling is crucial. We use solid elements to simulate GRC materials, taking into account material anisotropy (the influence of fiber orientation). Boundary conditions realistically simulate connection states to avoid over-constraint. In the double-curved panel analysis for the Wuhan Han Show Theatre, parametric modeling enabled rapid comparison of multiple schemes to identify the optimal solution.
Model testing verifies the calculation results. Full-scale 1:1 specimens are fabricated for loading tests to measure strain distribution. Qinglong Group's laboratory is equipped with a 100-ton press and a comprehensive data acquisition system, providing experimental support for the analysis. On-site monitoring uses fiber Bragg grating sensors for long-term monitoring of the actual stress state.
The analysis results guide design optimization. High-stress zones receive local reinforcement while low-stress zones are thinned, achieving optimized material utilization. Through scientific analysis, double-curved shapes are both aesthetically pleasing and safe.
