The minimum order quantity (MOQ) of UHPC manufacturers is constrained by three factors: production line start-up costs, mold amortization, and logistics economics. The industry-standard MOQ is 30-50 square meters or a corresponding amount of RMB 100,000-200,000. While adhering to the benefits of large-scale production, Qinglong Group has introduced a differentiated flexible service strategy to support creative design and small boutique projects: for standard flat panels or components with existing molds, the MOQ can be as low as 20 square meters or RMB 50,000; for custom shaped components requiring brand-new molds, an MOQ of 50 square meters or more is typically recommended to cover basic mold costs. By establishing mechanisms such as a "standard component library" and a "monthly order pool" to aggregate small-batch orders and share production capacity, we have successfully executed numerous small art installations, store renovations, and villa projects—such as the window display art wall (only 15 square meters) for a brand flagship store in Shenzhen—fulfilling customers' customization dreams while ensuring quality.
Each start-up of a UHPC production line incurs fixed energy, labor, and cleaning costs. Mold design and manufacturing are sunk costs that must be amortized over a certain production volume. Therefore, the MOQ for customized projects is essentially intended to cover these "one-time costs," making the transaction economically viable for both parties. Qinglong Group transparently presents the cost breakdown to customers, and for very small batches with exceptional display value, we also conduct special evaluations and support them as brand investments.
To address the market demand for "small batches, many varieties," we have adopted multiple measures: first, promoting "standardized customization," where clients select and combine from a limited library of standard panel types and textures to reduce non-standard mold making; second, implementing "order consolidation," setting aside 1-2 "flexible production days" each month to concentrate production of small-batch orders; third, offering a "DIY kit" service, providing customers with standard UHPC panels and connectors for them to creatively assemble and install on their own.
For small and micro projects with limited budgets, we recommend: prioritizing the manufacturer's standard or near-standard products; considering "order pooling" with other projects to share molds; and opting for economical surface treatments (such as coatings) instead of expensive through-body coloring. Qinglong Group has established a dedicated service channel for small and micro projects, offering full-process guidance from consultation to implementation, allowing superior materials to serve refined creativity. The minimum order quantity is not an obstacle, but a reasonable starting point for efficient cooperation.
