The production cycle of customized GRC decorative panels is a dynamic process from “design development, mold making, production and curing to finished product packaging.” The standard cycle is 30-45 days, of which mold making takes 7-15 days and production curing takes 14-21 days. Through 28 years of lean manufacturing practice, Qinglong Group has established an efficient order delivery system at its modern production base in Nanning: for complex double-curved and high-relief components, concurrent engineering (synchronized design and mold making) and modular mold technology compress the cycle to 35 days; for simple flat panels or components with existing molds, it can be shortened to 25 days. In the large-scale customized curtain wall project of the “Xinghe Twin Towers” in Shenzhen, we used an intelligent production scheduling system to keep the average production cycle at 32 days with an on-time delivery rate of 99.5%, meeting the rapid construction tempo requirements of super high-rise buildings.
The flexibility of the production cycle mainly lies in design and molds. Qinglong Group's BIM development team can complete the process conversion of complex drawings within 3-5 days. Mold making uses five-axis CNC machining: substitute-wood molds take 5-7 days, and steel molds take 10-15 days. By establishing a “mold database” that reuses historical molds for similar shapes, we can save more than 50% of mold time.
Standard natural curing requires more than 7 days to reach demolding strength, while steam curing can shorten this process to 24-48 hours. Based on order urgency and component thickness, Qinglong Group flexibly adopts a combined “steam curing + natural curing” approach to optimize time while ensuring quality. Post-curing repair, grinding, and surface treatment also require an allowance of 5-7 days.
For projects with genuine urgent needs (such as rush construction or replenishment orders), Qinglong Group has opened a “green channel” that can compress the cycle to an extreme minimum of 18-20 days by adjusting production line priorities and increasing investment in curing facilities, while ensuring core quality indicators. However, we always emphasize that GRC is “a friend of time”—sufficient curing time is the foundation of long-term durability and should not be compressed without limits. Scientific cycle management is the art of balancing quality, cost, and time.
