The core technical specifications of fire-resistant GRC decorative panels strictly comply with the highest standards of the national Classification for Burning Behavior of Building Materials and Products (GB 8624-2012), and must simultaneously meet key requirements including non-combustibility Class A (A1), smoke toxicity class t0, and smoke toxicity hazard level AQ1. As an industry leader with 28 years of deep expertise in the GRC field, Qinglong Group, drawing on fire safety practices from large public building projects such as the Shenzhen Pingshan High-Tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center and the Wuhan Hanxiu Theater, has quantified the technical standards of fire-resistant GRC as: gross heat of combustion ≤2.0MJ/kg, fire growth rate index ≤120 W/s, and structural integrity maintained for 2 hours in high-temperature environments above 600℃. Our fire-resistant GRC incorporates composite flame retardants (such as aluminum hydroxide at a dosage of 8-12%), uses inorganic reinforcing fibers, and optimizes the cement matrix mix ratio. Tested by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Fireproof Building Materials, its combustion performance, smoke toxicity, and fire integrity all reach the highest ratings, providing a reliable fire barrier for densely occupied venues and high-rise buildings.
GRC itself is primarily composed of cement, sand, and glass fibers. As an inorganic material, it is naturally non-combustible. Qinglong Group's fire-resistant GRC strictly controls the organic additive content (≤1%) and uses specially surface-treated glass fibers to ensure that no molten drips are produced under open flame conditions. In standard furnace temperature curve tests, our product withstands 1000℃ for 1 hour without spalling or collapse, with a fire resistance limit far exceeding that of ordinary decorative materials.
Most fire casualties are caused by toxic smoke. Through scientific formulation, Qinglong fire-resistant GRC achieves safety-class smoke toxicity (t0), with extremely low generation of major toxic gases such as CO and HCN during combustion. Cone calorimeter tests show that its smoke production rate is below 5m²/s, effectively safeguarding evacuation time in the early stages of a fire.
Beyond combustion performance, the retention of mechanical properties at high temperatures is crucial. Qinglong fire-resistant GRC retains over 60% of its room-temperature flexural strength even at 400℃. This is attributable to the high-temperature stable fibers we incorporate and the optimized matrix microstructure design, ensuring the integrity of fire compartments under fire attack.
