The maximum single-panel area of UHPC faux-stone panels is subject to multiple constraints from material properties, production processes, and transportation and installation conditions; the current advanced industry level reaches 12-15 square meters. In the translucent UHPC project at Shanghai Century Plaza, Qinglong Group successfully produced faux-stone panels with a single-panel area of 12 square meters (dimensions 3m×4m) and a thickness of only 20mm, achieving a balance between artistic effect and structural safety. By optimizing fiber distribution (uniformity ≥95%) and stiffener design, the panels maintain flexural strength ≥18MPa while keeping weight within 300kg, meeting hoisting and transportation requirements.

Material Properties and Area Relationship

UHPC's high strength and toughness (flexural strength 15-25MPa) support large-panel design, but deflection must be controlled at ≤L/250. Through finite element analysis, Qinglong Group optimized panel thickness and stiffener layout, keeping the deflection of 6m-long panels at ≤24mm. The faux-stone effect is achieved through mineral aggregates and surface treatment, with texture fidelity ≥90%.

Production Process and Transportation Constraints

Large panels require large molds and specialized equipment. We use CNC-machined integral molds and vacuum dewatering to ensure compactness. Transportation takes road restrictions into account, with maximum width typically ≤3.5m. Qinglong Group balances size and feasibility through modular design.

Installation Technology and Safety Assurance
