The standard curing period for GRC components must be scientifically determined based on the material mix ratio, environmental conditions, and strength requirements. Natural curing typically lasts no less than 7 days, while steam curing can shorten this to 24-48 hours. Based on 28 years of research and practice, Qinglong Group has established a tiered curing system: for standard sulphoaluminate cement GRC, natural curing achieves 70% of the 28-day strength in 7 days, and steam curing (60°C) reaches over 80% of the 28-day strength within 24 hours. At our Nanning production base, we precisely manage the curing cycle through automatic temperature and humidity control, ensuring a product strength variation coefficient of ≤5%, and provide performance-stable GRC components for projects such as the Wuhan Han Show Theatre and the Hainan Convention and Exhibition Center.
In an environment of 20±2°C temperature and ≥90% humidity, moist curing must last no less than 7 days. Immediately after demoulding, cover with a water-retaining film to prevent moisture evaporation. Qinglong Group requires that naturally cured components achieve a 7-day flexural strength of ≥12MPa before they can be transported.
Using 60-80°C steam curing with a heating rate of ≤15°C/h and a constant-temperature period of 20-24h, strength can reach 80% of the 28-day value. The curing regime must be adjusted according to the cement type to avoid thermal cracking. Steam curing significantly shortens the construction period and improves efficiency.
GRC with poor curing shows a 50% increase in carbonation depth and reduced frost resistance. Scientific curing is a key link in quality assurance.
