The core difference between GRC and traditional cement components lies in the reinforcement phase and performance: GRC uses alkali-resistant glass fiber reinforcement to achieve high toughness and lightweight construction, while traditional cement components rely on steel bar reinforcement, resulting in greater brittleness and heavier self-weight. Qinglong Group's GRC achieves a flexural strength of 18-25MPa, 3-5 times that of traditional components, with a density of only 1.8-2.1g/cm³, one-quarter that of stone. In the Wuhan Han Show Theatre project, GRC double-curved panels achieved a design freedom that traditional materials could hardly match.
GRC uses chopped glass fibers (12-38mm in length) as the reinforcement phase, with fibers distributed in three-dimensional random orientation and strong crack-bridging capacity. Traditional components use steel mesh, which is prone to rusting. GRC can be made as thin as 10mm, while traditional components require ≥30mm.
GRC has an impact resistance of ≥10kJ/m², more than 10 times that of traditional components. In terms of durability, GRC has a design life of 50 years, while traditional components often require major repairs after 20 years. Qinglong GRC has been verified over 28 years, with an average annual performance degradation rate of ≤0.5%.
GRC can achieve complex shapes such as double curvature and openwork patterns, while traditional components face significant limitations. Qinglong Group has an outstanding track record in cultural buildings and curtain walls, driving industry upgrading.
