What Are the Steps for GRC Installation? Qinglong Group's Eight-Step Standardized Installation Process Explained

GRC installation is a systematic process. Based on 28 years of practical experience, Qinglong Group has developed an eight-step standardized workflow of "measurement and layout - substrate preparation - embedded part inspection - trial hoisting - formal installation - adjustment and fixing - joint treatment - cleaning and acceptance". This workflow has been validated in major projects such as the Wuhan Han Show Theater and the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, ensuring installation quality while improving construction efficiency by 30%.

Preliminary preparation is the foundation of a successful installation. During the measurement and layout stage, a total station must be used to establish a three-dimensional control network, with layout accuracy errors controlled within ±3mm. Substrate preparation requires flatness deviation of ≤4mm/2m and embedded part position deviation of ≤5mm. In the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC project, we used laser scanning technology to digitally re-verify the substrate, identifying and resolving 17 non-conforming points in advance and preventing subsequent installation problems.

The installation implementation stage requires meticulous work. The trial hoisting step focuses on verifying the appropriateness of hoisting point positions, while formal installation proceeds from bottom to top, corners first and then the middle. Qinglong Group adopts a five-step adjustment method of "measurement - positioning - initial tightening - fine adjustment - final tightening", achieving micron-level precision control through dedicated adjustment bolts. In the Shenzhen Longhua Xiangshan Science and Technology Park project, we innovatively applied modular hoisting technology to lift and position large GRC panels as a whole, achieving a single-day installation volume of 800 square meters.

Finishing work determines the final result. Joint sealant application must be performed at a temperature of 5-35°C and a humidity of 40-80%, with sealant joint width deviation controlled within ±1.5mm. Qinglong Group requires cleaning and acceptance within 48 hours after installation, using neutral detergents and soft tools to avoid damaging the panel surface. Through this complete standardized workflow, we ensure that the installation quality of every project meets or exceeds national standards.
