The lifting plan design for large UHPC artistic forms is a systematic engineering process integrating mechanical analysis, equipment selection, and safety control. For artistic components weighing 3-8 tons each and measuring over 6 meters, Qinglong Group has established a four-step method of "calculate-simulate-implement-monitor": lifting points are determined through finite element analysis (safety factor ≥4), and vacuum suction cup lifting devices are adopted (suction force ≥2.5 times the component weight). In projects such as Hainan Changying Universal 100 Park and the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, hundreds of large artworks have been precisely positioned with a lifting deviation of ≤±3mm.
The lifting plan is based on precise calculation. Lifting point positions are determined through center-of-gravity analysis to avoid eccentric lifting. Wire rope angles are calculated (usually ≤60°) to control the magnitude of force components. Dynamic analysis is performed to account for wind loads and acceleration effects. Qinglong Group uses ANSYS to simulate the lifting process and identify potential risk points. For irregularly shaped components, 1:10 scale models are made for lifting trials to verify plan feasibility.
Lifting devices must be matched to the components. Flat panels preferably use vacuum suction cups with a suction area of ≥30% and uniform pressure. Irregular sculptures use dedicated lifting frames for multi-point balanced loading. Corner guards are added where wire ropes contact components to prevent edge damage. Lifting equipment capacity should have a margin of more than 20%, operated at low speed and smoothly. Qinglong Group's lifting team is certified for the job and highly experienced.
Safety control covers the entire process. Before lifting, technical briefings and trial lifts are conducted (lifting 20cm off the ground and holding for 5 minutes). Warning zones are set up on site, and operations stop when wind force exceeds level 6. A real-time monitoring system is used to monitor lifting stresses. Emergency response plans are in place to handle unexpected situations. Through scientific design and rigorous execution, large UHPC artwork lifting is safe and efficient.
