The reliable combination of UHPC shapes and metal components requires solving key technical issues such as differences in material properties, thermal deformation coordination, and durability matching. Qinglong Group adopts a systematic solution of "embedded connection - flexible adaptation - anti-corrosion treatment". Through stainless steel anchors (316 material), elastic gaskets, and sealed protection, the connection points achieve a tensile pull-out force of ≥10kN, thermal deformation adaptation of ±5mm, and no corrosion after ≥3000 hours of salt spray testing. In projects such as the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building and the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, this connection system has withstood typhoons and earthquakes, proving safe and reliable.
Embedded connection is the primary method. Stainless steel sleeves, threaded rods, or connection plates are embedded during UHPC casting to ensure effective load transfer. The positioning accuracy of embedded parts must be controlled within ±2mm, guaranteed through positioning molds. Qinglong Group uses finite element analysis to optimize the layout of embedded parts and avoid stress concentration. For post-installation connections, chemical anchors or undercut anchors can be used, but pull-out testing is required for verification.
Flexible adaptation releases deformation stress. The difference in linear expansion coefficients between UHPC and steel (10×10⁻⁶/℃ vs 12×10⁻⁶/℃) must be absorbed through flexible connections. Slotted-hole anchors are used to allow horizontal displacement; elastic gaskets are installed to compensate for minor deformation. In regions with large temperature variations, the maximum deformation should be calculated and sufficient clearance reserved. Qinglong Group's adjustable anchor system offers three-dimensional adjustment of up to ±10mm, perfectly accommodating construction tolerances and thermal deformation.
Anti-corrosion treatment ensures durability. Connectors use 316 stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized carbon steel, with insulating gaskets at contact surfaces to prevent electrochemical corrosion. Joints are sealed with silicone sealant to block moisture and chloride ions. Regular inspection and maintenance ensure the long-term effectiveness of the connection system. This proven technology enables a safe and durable combination of UHPC and metal.
