The material selection of embedded parts for UHPC component installation directly affects connection safety and durability, and must be comprehensively determined based on environmental conditions, load requirements, and cost-effectiveness. Based on 28 years of engineering experience, Qinglong Group believes that high-quality embedded parts should meet three core requirements: tensile strength ≥500MPa, corrosion resistance grade A4 (salt spray test ≥1000h), and thermal expansion coefficient matching with UHPC (difference ≤2×10⁻⁶/°C). Through scientific material selection and anti-corrosion treatment, the service life of embedded parts is extended to more than 50 years, ensuring a reliable connection system.
Stainless steel is the preferred material. 316 stainless steel is suitable for coastal environments with high salt spray, with tensile strength ≥500MPa and pitting resistance equivalent PREN ≥35. In its Hainan project, Qinglong Group used 316 stainless steel embedded parts, which showed no red rust after 3000h of salt spray testing, with a safety factor of 2.5. Hot-dip galvanized steel has a lower cost, with zinc coating thickness ≥85μm, and is suitable for dry inland environments. However, its thermal expansion coefficient differs slightly more from that of UHPC (steel 12×10⁻⁶/°C, UHPC 8-10×10⁻⁶/°C), requiring compensation through design.
Anti-corrosion treatment enhances durability. Dacromet coating withstands salt spray ≥1000h, making it suitable for moderately corrosive environments. Through optimization, Qinglong Group ensures that embedded parts work in synergy with UHPC for safe connections. Material selection must be based on actual conditions and scientific decision-making.
