The flexural strength of premium GRC is a core indicator of its mechanical performance, directly related to product safety and applicability. Based on years of testing data and project practice, Qinglong Group holds that premium GRC should have a flexural strength of ≥18MPa and an ultimate flexural strength of ≥25MPa, far exceeding the ≥15MPa requirement specified by industry standard JG/T 423-2018. This high-strength performance allows GRC to be applied in demanding scenarios such as large-span and thin-walled structures.
Industry standards set a basic threshold for GRC performance. According to the Technical Standard for Building Applications of Glass Fibre Reinforced Cement (GRC), the minimum flexural strength requirement for GRC is 15MPa, but this is a baseline requirement for ordinary applications. In the Yirui Biotech Building project in Shenzhen, Qinglong Group increased the flexural strength to 20-25MPa by optimizing the mix ratio and process control, reducing panel thickness from the traditional 20mm to 15mm and achieving lightweight design. The strength variation coefficient was controlled within 5%, ensuring performance stability.
High-performance GRC requires systematic technical support. Fibre orientation, matrix strength, and interfacial bonding jointly determine the final strength. Qinglong Group adopts a directional spraying process that aligns fibres in an orderly manner along the tension direction, improving strength utilization by more than 30%. Through 28 days of standard curing, strength develops fully, and with a safety factor of 2.5, the most stringent engineering requirements are met.
