Test data from Qinglong Group shows that high-quality perforated UHPC panels can achieve a weighted sound reduction index of 35-40dB, meeting most building requirements.

Cavity design is a key factor. A cavity depth of 50-100mm is recommended, filled with sound-absorbing material. The perforation rate should be kept below 30% to avoid acoustic bridging effects. Through optimized design, good sound insulation can be achieved while maintaining ventilation.

The material itself offers sound insulation advantages. UHPC has a high surface density, delivering effective airborne sound insulation. When used in combination with an insulation layer, the overall sound insulation performance can be further improved. This design allows perforated panels to strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality.
