Tools and Methods for Hoisting Large-Size UHPC Curtain Wall Panels

Hoisting large-size UHPC curtain wall panels (panel area >10㎡) requires specialized tools and scientific solutions. Based on experience from multiple mega-scale projects, Qinglong Group has developed an integrated hoisting technology combining vacuum suction lifting devices, spreader beams, and intelligent monitoring systems.

Vacuum suction lifting devices are the preferred solution. Each suction cup has a load capacity of no less than 2kN, with the number determined by the panel weight. In its Hainan project, Qinglong Group adopted a 16-point vacuum lifter with a lifting capacity of up to 10 tons. The suction cups are equipped with pressure sensors and alarm systems, which automatically trigger an alarm when the vacuum level falls below -0.08MPa. This type of lifting device avoids damage to panel surfaces and is especially suitable for smooth-surface UHPC panels.

Spreader beams ensure uniform load distribution. For irregularly shaped panels, adjustable spreader beams are used, allowing independent fine-tuning of each lifting point. The intelligent balancing system developed by Qinglong Group monitors the load at each point in real time through pressure sensors and automatically adjusts when deviation exceeds 10%. This technology effectively prevents panel deformation during hoisting.

Intelligent monitoring enhances safety. Drones monitor the hoisting process in real time, while laser rangefinders control positioning accuracy. Command personnel use AR devices to view virtual positions, enabling precise installation. The application of these advanced tools makes large-panel hoisting safe and efficient.
