Curvature errors in GRC shaping directly affect the smoothness and visual appeal of curved surfaces. Based on 28 years of experience in curved GRC fabrication, Qinglong Group holds that the curvature error of single-curved panels should be ≤±3mm/2m, that of double-curved panels ≤±5mm/2m, and that of special-shaped areas should be further tightened to ≤±1mm/2m. Such precision requirements must be achieved through advanced mold technology and accurate inspection methods.
Mold precision is the foundation for controlling curvature errors. Qinglong Group uses five-axis CNC machining centers to produce GRC molds, achieving surface profile accuracy of ±0.5mm. In the Wuhan Han Show Theater “Chinese Red Lantern” project, digital scanning of the original model kept the mold curvature error within ±2mm/3m. Molds are made of epoxy resin or GRP, with a thermal deformation coefficient ≤1.5×10⁻⁵/℃, ensuring consistency in batch production.
Production process control reduces error accumulation. A robotic spraying process is adopted, with fiber distribution uniformity ≥95%. Vibration time is controlled within 30-60 seconds to avoid deformation caused by excessive vibration. In the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center project, Qinglong Group optimized process parameters to keep curvature variation during production within ±1mm. During curing, custom racks are used to prevent self-weight deformation.
Inspection technology verifies final precision. Three-dimensional laser scanners are used for 100% inspection, with point cloud data compared against design models. In key projects, panels with curvature errors exceeding ±3mm/2m are not allowed to leave the factory. This strict precision control ensures the perfect realization of GRC curved shapes.
