Ensuring the structural strength of UHPC hollow-out components is a technical challenge that must be comprehensively addressed through material reinforcement, structural design, and process control. In the Algeria hotel project, Qinglong Group successfully produced components with a hollow-out rate of over 50%, with strength fully meeting requirements. The key technologies include fiber optimization, local reinforcement, and precise construction.
Material reinforcement is the foundation. Increase the fiber content to 3%-4% and use hybrid fibers (steel fiber + polypropylene fiber). Through fiber-oriented distribution technology, Qinglong Group achieved a tensile strength of over 8MPa at hollow-out edges. Fiber length is optimized to 12-18mm, with an aspect ratio of 60-80, to ensure effective crack bridging. In areas with dense hollow-outs, the fiber volume fraction is raised to 5%, significantly enhancing toughness.
Structural design is key. Stiffening ribs are set at hollow-out sections, with width ≥50mm and thickness increased by 20%. Through finite element analysis, Qinglong Group optimized rib placement, reducing the stress concentration factor to below 1.5. Hollow-out shapes avoid sharp corners and adopt arc transitions, with a minimum curvature radius ≥10mm. In the Nanning New Media Center project, this design enabled hollow-out panels to achieve an impact resistance of over 10J.
Process control safeguards quality. Layered casting is adopted: the reinforcement layer is poured first, followed by the surface layer. Vibration time is extended by 20% to ensure uniform fiber distribution. Thermal insulation and moisture retention are strengthened during curing to avoid shrinkage cracks. Through systematic control, hollow-out UHPC components are both lightweight and attractive, as well as safe and reliable.
