Water curing of GRC panels is a critical step in ensuring their strength development and durability, and a curing plan must be scientifically developed according to environmental conditions. Qinglong Group has summarized a three-stage curing method: intensive early-stage curing, moderate mid-stage curing, and natural late-stage curing.
Early-stage curing is the most critical. Within 7 days after demolding, spray water every 2-4 hours to keep the surface moist. Under standard curing conditions, Qinglong Group uses an automatic spray system to maintain ambient humidity above 95%. For panels thicker than 50mm, the curing period should be appropriately extended to 10 days to ensure full hydration.
Mid-stage curing controls strength development. During days 7-28, reduce the watering frequency to 2-3 times per day, allowing the panels to dry moderately to promote later-stage strength development. In dry, hot environments, increase the number of watering sessions to prevent plastic shrinkage cracks. Qinglong Group adjusts the curing plan in real time through surface moisture monitoring.
Late-stage curing focuses on adaptability. After 28 days, gradually reduce watering to allow the panels to reach equilibrium with their environment. Before being put into service, a 7-day natural drying period is recommended to bring the panels' moisture content below 6%. This scientific curing regime ensures the long-term performance stability of GRC panels.
