How to Solve the Color Difference Problem of GRC Decorative Panels?

Color difference control of GRC decorative panels is a key technical challenge in ensuring the uniformity of decorative effects. Qinglong Group systematically solves the color difference problem through three major measures: raw material control, production process optimization, and construction management.

Raw material stability is the foundation of color difference control. The whiteness value of white cement is stable at above 85 degrees, with a fluctuation range of no more than 2 degrees; aggregates have consistent color, with mud content ≤0.5%; pigments are from the same batch and fully mixed before use. Qinglong Group has established a raw material color difference early-warning mechanism: after each batch of raw materials arrives on site, small sample trials are conducted, and materials are prohibited from use when the color difference ΔE>1. In the Yangshengtang Pharmaceutical Hangzhou Industrial Park project, through strict raw material control, the color difference ΔE of 12,000 square meters of exterior wall panels was kept within 1.5.

Production process parameters require precise control. The water-binder ratio fluctuation does not exceed ±0.02, the mixing time error is ±5 seconds, and the curing temperature fluctuation is ±2℃. Qinglong Group adopts automated production lines with digital management of key process parameters to ensure consistent production conditions for each batch of products. Meanwhile, the temperature difference inside curing kilns is controlled within ±3℃ to avoid color differences caused by uneven temperature.

Construction management is equally important. Products from the same batch are selected for the same facade and installed in a consistent direction; panel joint widths are uniform, with an error ≤1mm; joint sealant colors are coordinated with the panels. A complete color card archive is established to provide a basis for future repairs. Through whole-process control, the color difference of Qinglong GRC decorative panels has reached an industry-leading level.
