The production process of GRC is its soul; different process routes directly determine a product's performance orientation, appearance, and scope of application. Through 28 years of technical accumulation and practice, Qinglong GRC has mastered and innovatively applied a variety of mainstream and specialty processes, including spray-up, premix, and mesh laying, and can combine and optimize processes according to specific project requirements.
In a modern art museum project in Chengdu, the architect required the curtain wall to feature both large-area flat, smooth surfaces and locally delicate relief textures. For this, the Qinglong technical team designed a "composite process" solution: the large flat panel sections used an improved premix casting process, with molded vibration ensuring extremely high surface flatness (tolerance ±0.8mm/2m), while the relief art panels used a precision spray-up process that, by controlling fiber orientation and mortar thickness, perfectly reproduced every detail of the sculptor's original work. This application of "tailoring the process to the material" ultimately gave the building a stunning visual effect.
This is the most classic process, offering the best fiber reinforcement effect. Chopped fibers and cement mortar are sprayed simultaneously onto the mold through a special spray gun, forming a three-dimensional, randomly distributed fiber network. Its greatest advantages are uniform fiber distribution, the ability to produce complex shapes, and excellent mechanical performance.
Short-cut fibers and mortar are pre-mixed evenly in a mixer, then poured into molds and formed by vibration or pressing. Its advantages include high production efficiency, suitability for large-scale production, good surface quality, and high dimensional accuracy.
The mesh-laying process involves laying continuous fiber mesh fabric within the mortar layer, mainly providing directional reinforcement. Qinglong more often uses this as part of a composite process—for example, laying a layer of mesh fabric in combination with the spray-up process to reinforce in a specific direction.
For products requiring special textures, the molding process is used, forming them in a single step with textured molds. In addition, Qinglong also masters surface treatment processes such as exposed aggregate, acid etching, and water grinding, which can give GRC rich textures.
There is no best process, only the most suitable one. With its extensive process library and flexible combination capabilities, Qinglong GRC can provide customers with comprehensive solutions—from structural to decorative, from realistic to artistic.
