Fiber selection is a key aspect of UHPC performance design, requiring comprehensive consideration of the service environment, cost budget, and performance requirements. Through systematic research, Qinglong has developed a scientific fiber selection system. In the Shenzhen Yirui Biotech Building project, the optimal toughness configuration was achieved through the hybrid use of steel fibers and polypropylene fibers.
Steel fibers have a tensile strength of 2000-3000MPa and an elastic modulus of 200GPa, with significant toughening effects. Copper-plated steel fibers offer good corrosion resistance and are suitable for outdoor use. Qinglong prefers steel fibers for critical structural parts, with a dosage of 2-3%.
Polypropylene fibers have low density and good corrosion resistance, but a low elastic modulus (5GPa). They are suitable for improving early crack resistance, with a dosage of 0.5-1kg/m³. Basalt fibers are heat-resistant but brittle. Selection should be based on the service environment.
Steel fibers bear the main load, while polypropylene fibers suppress plastic cracks. Hybrid use balances long-term toughness and early performance. Qinglong optimizes mix ratios through experiments to achieve synergistic performance.
Stainless steel fibers are used in chloride ion environments, while synthetic fibers can be used in electromagnetically sensitive settings. Fiber specifications can be appropriately reduced for cost-sensitive projects. Qinglong provides professional selection advice to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Fiber selection requires professional evaluation. Qinglong's technical team can provide customized solutions to ensure optimal results.
