Reshaping the Boundaries of Architectural Aesthetics Through Technological Breakthroughs: Qinglong's 28 Years of Refined Full-Chain Solutions for Openwork GRC Decorative Panels
In contemporary architectural design, openwork GRC decorative panels have become the finishing touch of high-end building skins such as grand theaters and commercial complexes, thanks to their lightweight, translucent texture and rich artistic expressiveness. However, their production process conceals numerous technical barriers. As an industry leader with 28 years of full-chain experience in UHPC/GRC/GRG/GRP materials, Qinglong Group will provide an in-depth analysis of the production challenges and breakthrough solutions for openwork GRC decorative panels from three dimensions: material properties, process control, and structural safety.
1. Material Ratio and Fiber Distribution: The Strength Code of Openwork Structures
The core contradiction of openwork GRC decorative panels lies in balancing the openwork ratio with structural strength. Traditional GRC materials are prone to stress concentration when the openwork ratio exceeds 30%. Through its independently developed "gradient fiber reinforcement technology," Qinglong precisely controls the alkali-resistant glass fiber content within the 4.5-5% range and adopts a three-dimensional random distribution process, increasing the material's flexural strength to over 22MPa. In a cultural center project in Nanning, this technology successfully achieved one-time forming of double-curved decorative panels with a maximum openwork ratio of 45%, delivering 20% higher structural stability than the industry average.
2. Mold Precision and Demolding Process: The Forming Challenge of Complex Textures
The fineness of openwork textures directly determines the decorative effect. Qinglong introduced industrial-grade CNC engraving technology to create master molds, combined with a BIM parametric design system, keeping mold errors within ±0.5mm. To address the problem of edge damage easily caused by traditional demolding, it innovatively adopted a combined process of "low-temperature curing + elastic release agent," raising the intact rate of openwork joints from 85% to 98%. In the Dongguan Women and Children's Activity Center project, this process successfully achieved mass production of 0.3mm fine textures and won the AALBORG WHITE Cup GRC Construction Engineering Innovation Award.
3. Structural Safety and Installation Precision: The Dual Test of High-Altitude Applications
The wind load resistance and installation precision of openwork panels are key to engineering applications. Qinglong's developed "embedded metal framework system" optimizes anchor point distribution through finite element analysis, achieving a single-point load capacity of over 300kg. In the Nanjing East Road Century Plaza renovation project, three-dimensional laser scanning positioning technology enabled "zero-error" installation of 12-meter-high openwork light-transmitting concrete panels, and the related technical achievements have been incorporated into the formulation of the industry standard "Ultra-High Performance Concrete Exterior Wall Panels."
As a national high-tech enterprise and a participant in formulating GRC industry standards, Qinglong Group has always taken "creating beautiful architecture" as its mission, building a full-chain service system from detailed design to after-sales maintenance through 28 years of technical accumulation. It has now formed an annual production capacity of 600,000 square meters, with products exported to Southeast Asia and the Australia-New Zealand markets. In the future, Qinglong will continue to explore composite application technologies of UHPC and GRC, providing designers with building skin solutions with greater imaginative space, allowing openwork art to blossom with more possibilities across the city skyline.
