The strength indicators of UHPC products are their most striking performance characteristics and the core parameters for evaluating a manufacturer's technical level. High-quality UHPC easily exceeds 120MPa in compressive strength, advancing toward 150MPa, 200MPa or even higher; its flexural strength reaches ten to dozens of times that of ordinary concrete. However, the strength indicator is not merely a number—it is closely related to the manufacturer's material design, process control, and testing standards.
Compressive strength is UHPC's "entry ticket" and performance benchmark. According to industry consensus, the baseline compressive strength of UHPC (measured on 100mm cubic specimens after 28 days of standard curing) is generally no less than 120MPa (i.e., UC120). Leading UHPC manufacturers generally maintain product compressive strength above 150MPa. For example, according to publicly available industry information, the UHPC specimens developed by Jiangsu Bositong New Materials Co., Ltd. have achieved compressive strength exceeding 220MPa, and Hunan Guli reached an average of 187.5MPa in an industry technical competition. Qinglong Group's UHPC products, verified by third-party testing, can also stably achieve compressive strength above 150MPa, meeting the needs of the vast majority of ultra-high-demand projects. Note that strength values are affected by testing standards such as specimen size and curing conditions; when comparing data from different manufacturers, you must confirm whether their testing conditions are consistent.
Flexural strength and toughness represent UHPC's more revolutionary mechanical performance. Compared with compressive strength, the outstanding flexural strength and toughness UHPC gains after incorporating steel fibers are even more valuable. Its flexural strength typically reaches 15-25MPa, and after reaching peak load, due to the bridging effect of the fibers, it does not undergo brittle fracture but instead exhibits significant "strain hardening" characteristics—that is, very high flexural toughness and fracture energy. This property enables it to withstand greater deformation and impact loads, with safety far exceeding traditional concrete. In its formulation design, Qinglong UHPC scientifically optimizes the type, aspect ratio, and volume dosage of steel fibers (typically 2%-3%) to ensure that, alongside ultra-high compressive strength, it also possesses excellent flexural performance and ductility.
The stability and authenticity of strength indicators are key to measuring a manufacturer's credibility. If the best laboratory data cannot be consistently achieved in mass production, it is meaningless. Therefore, when evaluating a manufacturer, you should not only focus on the maximum strength they advertise, but also request a type inspection report issued by an authoritative third-party testing agency for their mass-produced products. The report should include strength data from multiple groups of specimens along with their standard deviations—the smaller the standard deviation, the better the product's homogeneity and stability. Qinglong Group is committed to providing complete testing reports for each product type and accepts customer sample retesting, speaking through transparent, verifiable data. At the same time, it must be recognized that strength is an important foundation of UHPC but by no means everything; its extreme durability (impermeability, frost resistance, and corrosion resistance) is equally a core value and requires comprehensive consideration.
