What Are the Key Steps in the Factory Prefabrication Stage of UHPC Curtain Wall Panel Production?

The factory prefabrication of UHPC curtain wall panels is a highly industrialized process that integrates "digital design, precision manufacturing, and strict curing," and its quality directly determines the final architectural effect. Qinglong Group's prefabrication production process can be systematically broken down into six key steps: "detailed design and mold preparation, material proportioning and mixing, casting/spraying and compaction, curing and hardening, demolding and post-processing, and inspection and packaging," each of which requires precise control.

Step 1: Detailed design and mold preparation. This is the source of quality. Based on the building's BIM model, constructability analysis is carried out, panel joints are rationally divided, embedded parts and connection nodes are designed, and 3D data for CNC machining of molds is generated. The machining precision of the molds (usually steel or high-precision resin molds) must reach ±0.5mm. This stage determines the geometric accuracy and the foundation of the panel's appearance.

Step 2: Material proportioning and mixing. At the automatically controlled batching plant, raw materials such as cement, silica fume, quartz sand, steel fibers, and admixtures are weighed according to precise proportions. A high-speed shear mixer is used to blend them following a strict feeding sequence and mixing time, ensuring the fibers are evenly dispersed without clumping and that the mixture has good flowability and cohesion. This step is the core of achieving UHPC performance.

Steps 3 to 6: Forming, curing, and post-processing. The mixture is cast into the mold and compacted by vibration or vacuum-assisted air extraction. It is then sent into a curing kiln to follow a preset heating–constant temperature–cooling steam curing curve (e.g., curing at 80°C for 12 hours), which is key to activating UHPC strength. After demolding, edge and corner grinding, surface treatment (such as pickling, sandblasting, and coating), and inspection of embedded parts and dimensions are carried out. Qualified products are custom packaged and stored in the warehouse. The entire process is managed with an ERP system to ensure the traceability of every panel. This standardized factory prefabrication process is the fundamental guarantee of high quality, high performance, and rapid delivery for UHPC curtain walls.
