The GRC production process is the technical path for transforming raw materials into finished products, with different processes each having their own emphasis on fiber distribution, product performance, and applicable scenarios. Qinglong Group has mastered the three mainstream processes—"spraying", "flow slurry", and "premix"—and can flexibly select or combine them according to a component's shape characteristics, performance requirements, and production volume, to achieve the optimal balance of "technology-economy-effect".
The spraying method is Qinglong's most widely used and technically mature process, particularly suitable for shaped panels with complex forms, double-curved surfaces, and components requiring high toughness. Its principle is to feed chopped glass fibers and cement mortar separately through a spray gun where they are mixed, and spray them directly onto the mold surface. The greatest advantage of this method is that the fibers are evenly distributed in three-dimensional random orientation, giving the product good isotropy and extremely high flexural strength and impact toughness. By precisely controlling the air compressor pressure, spraying distance, angle, and number of passes, Qinglong ensures that the fibers are fully wetted by the slurry, avoiding "dry spots" and fiber "clumping". The complex double-curved red panels of the Wuhan Hanxiu Theater were made using this method.
The flow slurry method is more suitable for producing large-area flat panels, standard profiles, and other components with relatively simple shapes that require high surface flatness. It involves pouring pre-mixed fiber mortar onto the mold and compacting it through vibration, roller pressing, or vacuum dewatering. This method offers high production efficiency, easily controlled panel flatness, and good surface quality. Qinglong's flow slurry production line incorporates vacuum dewatering technology to further reduce the water-cement ratio and improve product density. However, for components with tall vertical faces or thin sections, care must be taken to prevent uneven fiber settlement under gravity.
The premix method is typically used for making small sculptures, ornamental decorations, or components requiring extremely fine surface textures. It involves thoroughly mixing chopped fibers with mortar in a mixer beforehand, then pouring the mixture into molds. This method yields uniform fiber distribution and can produce very thin (e.g., 8-10mm) components with refined surfaces, but fiber length is limited, as overly long fibers tend to clump. Qinglong flexibly selects processes according to order characteristics—for example, using the spraying method for the main structure and the premix method for delicate relief accessories. The scientific selection of processes reflects a manufacturer's technical expertise and deep understanding of the material.
