Differences in production processes among GRC manufacturers directly determine the performance boundaries, quality stability, and application scope of their products. After 28 years of exploration, Qinglong Group has developed a process system centered on the "spraying method," "flow-slurry method," and "premix method," with optimized combinations tailored to the characteristics of different products. These processes each have their own strengths in fiber distribution, production efficiency, and shaping capabilities; a manufacturer's technical level is often reflected in a deep understanding and precise command of these processes.
The "spraying method" is Qinglong's most widely used process, particularly suitable for irregular panels with complex shapes, double-curved surfaces, and components requiring high fiber content. Its principle is that chopped glass fibers and cement mortar are fed separately through spray guns, mixed, and sprayed directly onto the mold. The greatest advantage of this method is that fibers are uniformly distributed in three-dimensional random orientations, giving products good isotropy along with extremely high flexural strength and impact toughness. By optimizing air compressor pressure, spraying distance, and spraying angle, Qinglong ensures that the fibers are fully wetted by the slurry, avoiding "dry spots" and fiber "clumping." The complex double-curved red panels of the Wuhan Hanxiu Theater were produced using this method.
The "flow-slurry method" is better suited for producing large-area flat panels, standard profiles, and other components with relatively simple shapes. Premixed fiber mortar is poured onto the mold and formed through vibration and rolling. This method offers high production efficiency, easily controlled panel flatness, and good surface quality. Qinglong's flow-slurry production lines use a vacuum dewatering process, which further lowers the water-cement ratio and increases density. However, for components that are thinner or have taller vertical faces, fibers tend to be unevenly distributed under gravity.
The "premix method" is typically used to make small sculptures, ornamental decorations, or components requiring extremely fine surfaces. Short fibers are mixed with mortar in advance in a mixer, and the mixture is then poured into molds. This method yields uniform fiber distribution and allows the production of very thin components (e.g., 10mm), but fiber length is limited, as long fibers easily clump. Qinglong flexibly selects or combines processes according to order characteristics—for example, using the spraying method for the main body and the premix method for finely detailed relief accessories. The scientific selection of processes is a reflection of a manufacturer's technical depth.
