Is the UHPC Production Process Complex?

The UHPC production process is a systems engineering endeavor with extremely demanding requirements for "precision, uniformity, and stability," and its complexity is far beyond that of conventional concrete. High-precision batching is the primary prerequisite. UHPC has an extremely low water-binder ratio (usually below 0.20), and weighing errors for each raw material must be controlled at the level of a few ten-thousandths. Any slight deviation can cause drastic changes in workability or strength falling short of specifications. Qinglong uses a fully automatic batching system to achieve precise dosing of raw materials, fundamentally eliminating human error.

The mixing process is central to ensuring uniform fiber dispersion. UHPC paste has extremely high viscosity and contains a large amount of fibers, so high-intensity forced-action mixers must be used, with strict control of the feeding sequence and mixing time. Through extensive process trials, Qinglong determined the optimal "dry mixing first, then wet mixing" feeding procedure and mixing parameters, ensuring that steel fibers or organic fibers are evenly distributed throughout the cement matrix with no clumping.

The curing regime is the final key step in unlocking UHPC performance. Unlike the natural curing of ordinary concrete, UHPC usually requires heat curing (such as steam curing) to accelerate the hydration reaction of cementitious materials and promote densification of the microstructure. Qinglong's standardized curing chambers precisely control temperature and humidity curves, ensuring that the strength development and durability of UHPC meet design expectations.
