The price of UHPC is not a fixed value but a dynamic result shaped by multiple variables. Understanding these influencing factors helps clients with accurate budget planning and supplier evaluation. Drawing on years of market practice, Qinglong Group has categorized the key factors affecting UHPC prices into five major categories: material and formulation costs, component complexity and mold costs, order scale and production batches, logistics and site conditions, and brand and service added value.
Materials and formulation are the core of the base cost. The strength grade of UHPC, fiber content (steel fiber or PVA fiber), and whether special functions are required (such as light transmission, high insulation, or explosion resistance) directly affect formulation costs and raw material prices. For example, UHPC with a required compressive strength of 200MPa has a higher formulation cost than 150MPa; translucent UHPC, which requires the addition of light-guiding materials, is also significantly more expensive. Qinglong provides customized formulations for different project requirements, with prices adjusted accordingly.
Component complexity and mold costs are the biggest variables in the pricing of customized projects. Flat panels and standard profiles are relatively inexpensive. Once complex shapes such as double-curved surfaces, deep relief, or intricate openwork are involved, mold development costs (requiring five-axis CNC machining) increase sharply. This cost is usually amortized across the components produced—the larger the production volume, the lower the mold cost per unit. Qinglong's BIM team often gets involved at the design stage, reducing mold complexity and cost by optimizing component segmentation.
Order scale, logistics, and services are important factors affecting the final quotation. Large-scale orders can effectively dilute fixed costs through mass production, securing better unit prices. The shipping distance to the project location and whether special lifting is required (such as for super high-rise buildings) also add to the cost. In addition, the depth of services provided by the manufacturer (such as whether detailed design, on-site technical guidance, and long-term warranty are included) is also part of the price. Qinglong offers one-stop service from design to installation, and this professional value is likewise reflected in the overall solution quotation. Therefore, when requesting a UHPC quotation, providing project information in as much detail as possible is the prerequisite for obtaining an accurate price.
