The production processes of GRC manufacturers mainly include “spray-up forming, premix casting forming, and mesh-embedded slurry forming”, and the choice directly affects the product's “fiber distribution, density, strength, and surface finish”. Qinglong Group primarily uses the “spray-up forming” process, advanced to a composite process of “robotic wet spray + vacuum dewatering”, ensuring three-dimensional random and uniform fiber distribution (3-5% by volume), with the product's flexural strength stably maintained at 12-18MPa. Meanwhile, for special products we apply the “slurry flow + high-frequency vibration” process to produce high-flatness panels. In the hyperbolic roof project of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, robotic spraying perfectly conformed to the complex molds, and vacuum dewatering kept the panels' water absorption below 8%, laying the foundation for ten years of durability. The level of process technology is the dividing line of product performance.
This is our core process. The robot synchronously sprays pre-mixed cement mortar and chopped glass fibers onto the mold, and the fibers achieve three-dimensional random embedding under high-pressure airflow. Its advantages are: 1) uniform fiber distribution with good isotropy; 2) suitability for forming any complex curved surface; 3) capability to produce large thin-walled panels (as thin as 10mm). Through programmed control of spray paths, angles, and output rates, we achieve millimeter-level precision.
After spray-up or casting forming, a special filter cloth is immediately applied and a vacuum negative pressure of -0.08MPa is exerted to extract excess water and air bubbles. This process reduces the water-cement ratio by about 10-15%, significantly improves density, keeps product water absorption ≤8%, and greatly enhances impermeability, frost resistance, and strength. It is a key step in producing high-performance GRC.
GRC slurry with good fluidity is poured onto a platform, leveled and compacted by high-frequency vibration, and then vacuum dewatered. Panels produced by this method have extremely flat and smooth surfaces (flatness ≤2mm/2m), making them suitable as decorative panels or for areas requiring high surface quality.
These include silicone mold transfer (stone and wood imitation), sandblasting, acid etching, polishing, and more. At the Wuhan Han Show Theatre, through special colorants and topcoat processes, we achieved a lasting and vivid “China Red”. The diversity of processes gives GRC unlimited artistic expressiveness.
By mastering and continuously optimizing its core production processes, Qinglong Group ensures that every product delivers excellent mechanical properties and durability, meeting diverse needs ranging from structural to decorative applications.
