UHPC construction requires close attention to five key aspects: mix proportion accuracy, mixing uniformity, pouring compaction, timely curing, and joint treatment—any oversight may affect the final strength and durability. Drawing on experience from hundreds of projects, Qinglong Group has distilled the core construction precautions: weigh materials strictly according to the design mix with error controlled within ±0.5%; use a forced-action mixer to ensure uniform fiber distribution; vibrate thoroughly during pouring to expel air bubbles; begin moist curing immediately after final setting and maintain it for no less than 7 days; clean joints thoroughly and use specialized sealing materials. In the Shenzhen Yirui project, we monitored these key points throughout the whole process, keeping the curtain wall system intact for ten years. Details determine success or failure.
Each batch requires precise measurement of cement, aggregates, fibers, admixtures, and water. An automatic batching system is recommended. Insufficient mixing time easily causes clumping, while excessive mixing may introduce too many air bubbles. Qinglong dry-mix simplifies on-site operations and reduces errors.
UHPC has poor flowability and requires high-frequency vibration (frequency 10,000-12,000 times/minute) to help it flow and compact, but avoid over-vibration and segregation. For complex molds, attachable vibrators can be used. During spraying, control the nozzle angle and distance to ensure uniform thickness.
UHPC has high autogenous shrinkage and loses water quickly. Before its surface dries (after final setting), plastic sheeting or a curing compound must be applied immediately, keeping it moist for at least 7 days. When the temperature is below 5°C or above 35°C, heating or cooling measures are required. Steam curing (80°C × 12h) can significantly improve early strength.
The width of joints between panels must allow for temperature deformation (typically 8-12mm); after thorough cleaning, fill with high-elasticity sealant (movement capability ≥25%). Embedded parts must be installed in accurate positions, with sufficient anchorage depth (generally ≥40mm), and treated for rust prevention.
Following these precautions yields twice the results with half the effort. Qinglong Group provides all-round guidance from planning to on-site work, helping ensure project success.
