The "strength" of GRC products mainly refers to their "flexural strength," a core indicator measuring load-bearing and crack-resistance capabilities. High-quality products achieve flexural strength above 12MPa, even exceeding 18MPa. Through a trinity technology system of "densest matrix optimization, high alkali-resistant fiber reinforcement, and uniform fiber distribution technology," Qinglong Group has set the internal control standard for GRC flexural strength at ≥12MPa, and through mix ratio and process adjustments, can stably produce high-strength GRC with a flexural strength of 15-18MPa. In the large-span hollow-out suspended ceiling project of the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building, the GRC panels we supplied achieved a measured flexural strength of 16.5MPa, successfully realizing the artistic effect of large panel sizes with high hollow-out ratios. High strength is the physical foundation for GRC to achieve lightweight, large-span, and safe designs.
Through a low water-binder ratio (typically 0.32-0.36) and the micro-filling effect of large amounts of ultra-fine active admixtures (such as silica fume), the density and intrinsic strength of the cement matrix are greatly enhanced. The fully automatic batching and mixing system we use ensures precise proportions, and the resulting matrix provides strong anchorage for fibers, which is a prerequisite for high strength.
We strictly select high alkali-resistant glass fibers with a zirconia content of ≥16%, whose monofilament tensile strength exceeds 1700MPa. Extensive testing has determined the optimal fiber length (typically 12-20mm) and volume content (3-5%) for different application scenarios. Fibers are like the "steel reinforcement" in concrete—their quality and quantity directly determine the reinforcement effect of the final product.
This is the core technology for achieving high strength and stable performance. Robotic spraying enables fibers to be uniformly and randomly distributed in three-dimensional space, forming an efficient spatial load transfer network. Compared with manual mesh laying or spraying, uniformity is improved by more than 50%, eliminating weak points caused by localized fiber deficiency. Our production line can monitor fiber content and distribution in real time.
A process combining standard curing with steam curing is adopted. Steam curing (e.g., 80℃×12h) can significantly accelerate early strength development and result in higher, more stable later-age strength. Through intelligent curing kilns, we precisely control temperature and humidity curves to ensure that every batch of products reaches its design strength. Before leaving the factory, samples from each batch are tested for flexural strength, with data archived for traceability.
Therefore, when seeking GRC manufacturers with "high strength," attention should be paid to their material systems, fiber technology, and quality control data. Through scientific mix ratios, advanced processes, and rigorous testing, Qinglong Group ensures that its products possess excellent and stable mechanical properties, providing a solid and reliable material foundation for architectural creativity.
