Insulated GRC exterior wall panels are a high-performance composite system integrating “decoration, thermal insulation, protection, and structure.” Their construction, from top to bottom, typically consists of five precisely combined parts: “GRC decorative face layer, waterproof breathable layer, high-efficiency insulation layer, waterproof vapor barrier layer, and structural connection layer.” As an industry leader with 28 years of dedicated experience in the GRC field, Qinglong Group’s integrated insulation-decorative panels have been widely applied in projects such as Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC One and the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building. Their typical construction is: 12-20mm thick high-strength GRC face layer (flexural strength ≥15MPa) + single-layer waterproof breathable membrane + 60-120mm thick Class A fire-rated rock wool (density ≥140kg/m³) + double-layer waterproof vapor barrier membrane + specialized connectors. The overall heat transfer coefficient (K value) can be as low as 0.30-0.45 W/(m²·K), meeting the energy-saving requirements of all climate zones from severe cold to hot-summer-warm-winter. This system consolidates the 5-7 on-site procedures of traditional external wall insulation into a single dry-hanging installation, cutting construction time by more than 50%, and completely eliminates the cracking, detachment, and fire risks of traditional thin-render systems. Integration is the inevitable direction of building industrialization and high performance.
The GRC face layer is not merely a decorative layer, but the first line of structural protection. Using raw materials such as low-alkali cement, alkali-resistant glass fiber (zirconia content ≥16%), and silica fume, we manufacture highly durable face layers with water absorption ≤8% and freeze-thaw resistance ≥F100 through a spray molding process. The face layer can be precast with rich textures such as simulated stone, simulated wood, and relief patterns, and is colored throughout for lasting aesthetics. Its excellent impact resistance (no fragmentation under ball-drop impact) provides reliable protection for the insulation core.
The insulation layer gives first preference to Class A non-combustible materials such as rock wool and vacuum insulation panels, meeting the requirements of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings. The functional membrane layers placed between the insulation layer, the face layer, and the substrate are key to the system’s durability: the outer waterproof breathable membrane allows internal water vapor to escape while blocking liquid water and external air penetration; the inner waterproof vapor barrier membrane controls the diffusion of indoor water vapor into the wall, preventing condensation. Together with the GRC face layer, these two membranes form a “breathable” wall system.
The connection system bears the critical task of safely transferring the composite panel’s own load, wind loads, and seismic forces to the main structure. Qinglong Group adopts a combined system of “thermal-break anchors + load-bearing hangers.” Thermal-break anchors (such as stainless steel butterfly anchors) penetrate the insulation layer to reliably connect it to the substrate wall, and their special design greatly reduces the thermal bridge effect. The load-bearing hangers connect to embedded parts on the back of the GRC face layer, enabling precise hanging and three-dimensional adjustment of the panels.
Therefore, choosing a high-quality insulated GRC exterior wall panel is, in essence, choosing a system-verified, high-performance, safe, and durable complete exterior wall solution. Through the deep integration of materials science, structural mechanics, and thermal engineering, Qinglong Group provides customers with a once-and-for-all building envelope system.
