The curing period of GRC components refers to the critical curing time required for them to reach the strength needed for safe handling, transportation, and installation. It must be scientifically determined based on "component thickness, mix ratio, curing method, and ambient temperature and humidity." Under natural curing conditions, it is typically no less than 7 days, while under steam curing it can be shortened to 1-3 days. Based on 28 years of production data, Qinglong Group has established graded curing standards: for components of conventional thickness (15-20mm), under standard natural curing at 20℃ and humidity ≥95%, the 7-day flexural strength can reach over 70% of the 28-day strength (approximately 10MPa), meeting demolding and handling requirements; with steam curing (80℃×24h), strength can exceed 15MPa after just 1 day, allowing immediate demolding. However, before installation on walls, a natural curing period of at least 28 days must still be ensured to allow strength and stability to fully develop. The curing period is not an arbitrary timeframe—it is an objective law of material strength development.
Under standard curing conditions, GRC strength growth follows a certain pattern: 50% at 3 days, 70-80% at 7 days, 90% at 14 days, and essentially final strength at 28 days. Therefore, demolding and handling in the factory require at least 7 days; shipping is recommended after 14 days; and on-site installation is best done after 28 days to reduce the risk of early deformation and damage. Qinglong Group strictly enforces component age management—components that have not reached the required age are never released from the warehouse.
Steam curing accelerates the hydration reaction through a high-temperature, high-humidity environment. Our "24-hour constant-temperature curing at 80℃" regime enables components to reach in 1 day a strength exceeding the 7-day natural curing level, greatly improving mold turnover rates and production efficiency. However, after steam curing, components still need to rest and equilibrate in a natural environment for a period of time to release some temperature stress.
In winter low temperatures (<5℃), the curing period needs to be extended by 30-50%. We address this through greenhouse curing and the addition of early-strength agents. Qinglong Group's production base is equipped with fully automatic curing kilns that precisely control temperature and humidity, unaffected by seasons, ensuring a stable curing period.
Respecting the scientific curing laws of materials reflects responsibility for project quality. Qinglong Group trades time for quality and never sacrifices component performance to rush deadlines.
