The panel area of large UHPC artificial stone components is constrained by four factors: material performance, production technology, transport and installation, and structural safety. With current technology, the maximum area can reach 12-15 square meters (e.g., a 6m×2.5m panel), but conventional economical sizes are mostly kept within 3-6 square meters. At its Nanning production base, Qinglong Group successfully produced artificial stone curtain wall panels with a single-panel area of 10.8 square meters (5.4m×2.0m) through optimized mix ratios (flexural strength ≥18MPa), an innovative rib reinforcement design (bidirectional dense rib spacing ≤600mm), and a dedicated lifting system, for use in the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center project. The panels are only 18mm thick and weigh less than 200kg—one third of comparable natural stone panels. Large panelization is the ultimate expression of UHPC's lightweight, high-strength advantages, but it requires systematic technical support.
Large panels require higher flexural strength (≥15MPa) and toughness (fracture energy ≥10kJ/m²). Qinglong UHPC incorporates 2% steel fiber and silica fume, achieving an elastic modulus of 45GPa and ensuring deflection ≤L/300 across a 6-meter span. In the Hainan Convention and Exhibition Center project, 12-square-meter roof panels passed wind pressure testing at 5.0kPa, far exceeding code requirements.
Large panels require large-scale molds (stiffness ≥1/1000) and vacuum-table vibration systems. Qinglong Group uses welded steel molds (flatness ≤1mm/2m) and robotic spraying to ensure uniform fiber distribution. The mold design incorporates a 0.1% camber to offset self-weight deflection.
Oversized panels require specialized transport racks (tilt angle ≤15°) and on-site lifting equipment. Qinglong Group customized flatbed trucks for the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC One project, ensuring the safe delivery of 8-meter panels; installation employed rotating lifting devices with positioning accuracy of ±3mm.
Large panelization enhances building integrity and reduces joints. Through integrated technologies, Qinglong Group continues to push the limits of panel size, creating more possibilities for architectural expression.
