Is the UHPC Production Process Complex? Precision Manufacturing and Qinglong Group's Industrialized Production System

The complexity of the UHPC production process is far beyond that of ordinary concrete. Its core challenge lies in translating the theoretical "perfect mix proportion" into real-world physical components with "highly consistent performance." This is not simple mixing and casting, but a system engineering effort requiring precise control over the entire process of "metering accuracy, mixing uniformity, forming compactness, and curing regime." At our Nanning production base, we have introduced a fully automatic German BHS production line. Through the standardized process of "CNC batching – high-speed mixing – vacuum degassing – precision forming – intelligent curing," complex procedures are converted into repeatable, traceable digital instructions, ensuring millimeter-level precision and high consistency in the performance of more than 9,000 shaped panels for the Wuhan Han Show Theatre.

High-Precision Metering and Efficient Mixing Are the Primary Challenges

UHPC has an extremely low water-binder ratio and is highly sensitive to water content; an error exceeding 1% can cause drastic changes in workability. Meanwhile, large amounts of microfine powders (such as silica fume) tend to agglomerate, and fibres can easily be unevenly dispersed. Qinglong Group uses high-precision sensors (error ≤0.5%) and twin-shaft compulsory mixers. Through a preset three-stage program of "dry mixing – wet mixing – fibre mixing," uniform distribution from nanometer-scale powders to millimeter-scale fibres is achieved within minutes—a task that manual workshops simply cannot accomplish.

Forming and Compaction Processes Determine the Microstructure

The freshly mixed UHPC compound is highly viscous and prone to entrapping air bubbles. We apply differentiated forming processes according to product shape: flat panels are formed by mould-press vibration, while complex components use vacuum-assisted forming. Qinglong Group's patented vacuum mixing process removes most air bubbles synchronously during mixing, keeping the porosity of formed components below 3%—the physical basis for achieving ultra-high strength and durability.

Intelligent Curing Is the Final Critical Step in Strength Development

Improper rendering curing wastes all previous efforts. UHPC requires timely, precise curing to develop strength and prevent cracking. Qinglong Group has established a cluster of intelligent curing kilns that monitor internal temperature and humidity in real time through a sensor network and execute programmed heating, constant-temperature, and cooling curves. For example, in the production of roof panels for the Hainan Convention and Exhibition Center, we adopted steam curing, enabling components to reach demoulding strength within 24 hours—more than 5 times more efficient than natural curing, with superior performance.
