Thermal insulation GRC exterior wall panels are a composite system integrating decorative, thermal insulation, and protective functions, with a structure centered on four major parts: the decorative facing layer, insulation core layer, structural base layer, and connection system. Based on 28 years of practice in energy-saving building projects, Qinglong Group has optimized the system in green buildings such as the Shenzhen Pingshan High-tech Zone Comprehensive Service Center and the Nanning Wuxiang China Resources MixC One as follows: a 6-8mm thick GRC decorative facing layer (flexural strength ≥15MPa) + 50-100mm thick rock wool or polyurethane insulation layer (thermal conductivity ≤0.040W/(m·K)) + 10-12mm thick GRC back panel + stainless steel connectors (pull-out resistance ≥5kN), achieving an overall heat transfer coefficient K-value of 0.30-0.45W/(m²·K). In the Wuhan Han Show Theatre renovation project, we adopted GRC integrated insulation-decorative panels with this construction, reducing building energy consumption by 35%, while achieving seamless integration between decorative profiles and the insulation layer, avoiding the cracking and detachment risks of traditional external insulation systems.
The GRC facing layer is not only a decorative carrier but also a protective barrier. Through mix proportion optimization, Qinglong Group adds hydrophobic agents (contact angle ≥110°) and UV-resistant components to the facing layer, achieving water absorption ≤6% and weather resistance of over 50 years. In the coastal project of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, the facing layer thickness was increased to 10mm with a through-colored process, avoiding maintenance issues caused by coating fading. Using digital printing technology, we achieve simulated effects of natural materials such as stone and wood on the facing layer, with a simulation fidelity of ≥95%.
The selection of insulation core materials requires balancing fire protection and performance. Qinglong Group prefers Class A fire-rated rock wool (density ≥140kg/m³), ensuring no thermal bridges through staggered joint installation and special adhesives. EPDM rubber sealing strips are installed at panel joints to form a continuous airtight layer. In a severe cold region project in Shenyang, we increased the insulation layer to 120mm and installed breather valves to balance insulation and moisture-proofing needs.
A thermal-break anchor system is adopted, with nylon sleeves having a thermal conductivity ≤0.05W/(m·K). Qinglong's patented "three-point support" hangers allow panels to expand and contract by ±5mm, preventing thermal stress damage. Through thermal calculation software, the connection point layout is optimized, achieving an overall system ψ-value ≤0.15W/(m·K). Scientific structural design is the foundation for achieving the unity of energy efficiency and aesthetics.
