The wind load resistance design of UHPC curtain walls requires triple verification through wind tunnel testing, numerical simulation, and structural detailing to ensure safety and reliability under maximum wind pressure (e.g., ≥3.0kPa in coastal areas). In the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center project, Qinglong Group determined wind pressure coefficients through CFD fluid simulation, adopting a reinforced rib design (rib height ≥ 1.5 times panel thickness) and densified anchor points (spacing ≤ 400mm), bringing the curtain wall system's wind pressure resistance rating to 5.0kPa, far exceeding the requirements of a Force 12 typhoon. Wind resistance design is not merely a matter of strength; it must also account for wind-induced vibration fatigue. We optimize the structure through dynamic analysis to ensure no damage within a 50-year service life.
The basic wind pressure is calculated in accordance with the Load Code for the Design of Building Structures, combined with shape coefficients and wind vibration coefficients. Qinglong Group prepares a customized calculation report for every project, with a safety factor ≥ 2.5. In coastal areas, a 20% margin is added to the wind pressure value. Scientific calculation avoids empiricism.
Panel edge reinforcement, anti-loosening connection points, and sealing systems resistant to wind uplift. We use finite element analysis to optimize weak points. In the Shenzhen Yirui Biotechnology Building, the reinforced design successfully withstood a typhoon.
Wind tunnel testing validates the design, and on-site inspection ensures construction quality. A 28-year record of zero wind damage across projects is testament to our strength. Wind resistance design safeguards buildings.
